Bermuda Grass

Bermuda grass, popular known as Dhub, belongs to the plant family Gramineae or Poaceae. It is a tropical and subtropical grass, widely used for lawns. This prostrate creeping grass has a rootstock which rises to the surface and develops runners. The leaves are 2-10 cm. long by 1.25-3 mm. wide, narrowly linear and finely acute. The erect, flowering branches are 5 to 15 cm long. The stalkless flowers are arranged along the spreading branches of the slender inflorescence. This grass prevents the growth of other weeds.
