Coffee

The Coffee plant belongs to the family Rubiaceae. It is a smooth and hairless shrub or tree that may grow up to 20 feet with spreading branches. The leaves are 12.5 cm. long and are arranged opposite to each other on the stem. They are oblong with 6-10 main lateral veins. The aromatic, white flowers are numerous, seen in clusters and the round or obovoid fruits, which are 15 mm. long, are classified as fleshy berries.
