The Cucumber, is belonging to the plant family Cucurbitaceae, is a tropical, fleshy, bristly climbing vine. The leaves are mostly petioled, cordate and incised to make five points. The flowers are golden-yellow, and bell shaped. The fruit, containing small seeds is fleshy and long. It is mainly used in green salads.

*For skin disorders, mix the juice with carrot and lettuce juice and rub on affected areas to heal the
skin.

*Like the pumpkin seeds, the seeds of cucumber are very efficient in destroying tape worms in the
body.
*The paste of the seeds, used externally,soothes burns, haemorrhoids, herpes, and bedsores.
*The infusion of the dried peel is an excellent remedy for stomachache. Rub the peel over the skin to
keep it soft and cool. For a special facial lotion, here is a recipe given by Dr. A. C. Sas; Take 6 ripe
cucumbers and cut them longitudinally. Put the pulp and the seeds into a wide bottle. Add one egg
yolk, 100 grams of rose water, and 50 grams of alcohol. Shake to mix them. Close the bottle for four
or five days. Strain the fluid using a white cloth. Store in a jar and use as needed. It is effective in
removing spots and wrinkles, and also in soothing and beautifying the skin. This is a good natural
cosmetic.
