Mango Tree

The mango tree belongs to the plant family Anacardiaceae, It is a large spreading tree, which is well known in all tropical countries. The different varieties of the tree vary in height. However, most of them would fall in the range of 5-20 metres. The leaves,12.5-25 cm. long, are simple, green and stiff when fully grown. The unisexual and bisexual flowers are in clusters. The fruit, botanically classified as a drupe is generally called the king of the fruits because of its delicious pulp with unequalled flavour, when ripe.
