Vegetarian Meat with Coconut Milk

 Good for 6 persons.

3/4 kilo regular vegemeat, cubed
2 cups thick coconut milk
6 whole laurel leaves
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1 onion, sliced
Vegetable oil
Sal to taste
Marinade

1/2 cup water
4 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp calamansi extract

* Marinate vegemeat for about 10 minutes
* Fry vegemeat slightly in hot oil. Set aside.
* Saute garlic and onion in vegetable oil.
* Add vegemeat, laurel leaves, and the marinade.
* Bring to a boil.
* Pour coconut milk and simmer until sauce thickens.
* Serve hot.
